MEDLOG Pangaon River Terminal at Dhaka, Bangladesh is Now Open

MEDLOG is pleased to announce that the Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICT) near Dhaka, Bangladesh is now fully operational. After signing a concession agreement in November 2025, MEDLOG officially opened the terminal on 1 May 2026.

Situated in a prime riverside location inside Dhaka city, the new terminal will enable local exporters to transport their goods more quickly and seamlessly to the nearby Port of Chattogram. With a focus on fast, reliable and direct barge services that are avoiding road congestion around the port, the terminal offers fast and frequent barge services that are synchronized with main line vessel calls at Chattogram, to ensure reliable, on-time delivery and stronger supply chain performance.

The state-of-the-art 30-acre facility marks a significant step forward for trade and logistics in Bangladesh. A true multimodal hub with direct barge and road connectivity, it has a particular focus on Bangladesh's vital garment sector. Barges will also handle oversized project cargo, while trucks, covered vans and reefer vehicles provide additional distribution channels across the region.

Sustainable, congestion-free logistics

The Pangaon River Terminal also ushers in a smarter, cleaner way to move cargo. By shifting containers from congested highways to inland waterways, it actively supports carbon-neutral supply chains and aligns with national and global net-zero targets. Customers benefit from offering a seamless, sustainable and efficient gateway for global trade.
