MEDLOG Sailing Team Celebrates Successful First Barcolana
The MEDLOG Sailing Team delivered a strong performance at last week’s Barcolana, the world’s largest regatta, finishing 10th overall and taking 1st place in the Category S cruising yachts.
Competing in this major event for the first time, the MEDLOG team was one of two crews representing the MSC Group. Our colleagues took part in our branded racing yacht, led by a professional skipper.

AN UNMISSABLE FESTIVAL OF MARITIME CULTURE
The Barcolana takes place every October in the Gulf of Trieste in northern Italy, attracting around 2,000 boats, 15,000 sailors and hundreds of thousands of spectators. This 10-day event not only includes racing, but also a diverse programme of activities for all ages, from live music to conferences. In addition to competing, MEDLOG welcomed visitors to the MSC Lounge in the Barcolana Village on the waterfront. We also held a series of special events for MEDLOG customers, including sailing trips and welcome drinks on board our yacht.
Trieste is a key hub for MEDLOG, which offers direct rail links from the port to landlocked destinations across Central and Eastern Europe. The city is also home to our new rail freight wagon manufacturing facility.
