MEDLOG 10th of Ramadan Dry Port Project will be Showcased in TransMEA 2025

As part of MSC Egypt’s participation at TransMEA 2025, one of the highlights this year will be the unveiling of a maquette model of the upcoming 10th of Ramadan Dry Port and Logistics Center. This project is considered one of the major inland infrastructure projects being developed by MEDLOG under the supervision of the General Authority for Land and Dry Ports (GALDP). 

Strategically located within the industrial zone of 10th of Ramadan City, one of Egypt’s most important manufacturing hubs, the new dry port will span over 1 million square meters, making it the largest inland container depot (ICD) in the country. 


A Landmark Project for Logistics Sector 

This milestone facility is designed to enhance Egypt’s trade flow and inland logistics capacity. Operations scheduled to commence in 2027. The Dry Portwill operate under a 30-year concession agreement and is set up to create over 200 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs, further contributing to the region’s economic development. 

The Dry Port will serve multiple sectors including automotive, food processing, paper, electronics, and textiles, and will be equipped to handle up to 500,000 TEUs annually.

The 10th of Ramadan Dry Port maquette will be showcased at the MSC Egypt booth 2C2, throughout the TransMEA 2025 exhibition, offering visitors a detailed look at the layout, operational zones, and long-term strategic value of this facility. 

The 10th of Ramadan Dry Port is a testament to MEDLOG’s commitment to investing in long-term, sustainable logistics infrastructure in key global markets, aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030. 

Designed to enhance the flow of containerized cargo between seaports and inland destinations, the project aligns closely with Egypt’s broader transportation and industrial development strategies. 

During the contract signing ceremony between MEDLOG and Egyptian Ministry of Transport; represented by the general authority for land and dry ports, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir said: “MEDLOG 10th of Ramadan dry port and logistics zone will be a vital component of the integrated Sokhna, Alexandria logistics corridor. It is crucial for serving new urban communities, with rail and road networks linking dry ports and logistics zones to the industrial, agricultural, and mining sectors along the logistics corridors.”
